Alkaline Batteries

The “Alkaline Battery” designation is due to the alkaline

electrolyte : potassium hydroxide (KOH used for this kind of batteries,

also commonly known as Nickel-Cadmium or NiCd batteries. NiCd

batteries are a kind of rechargeable battery that uses nickel oxide

hydroxide and metallic cadmium as electrodes. Industrial Ni-Cd batteries

are made in a wide range of sizes and capacities, from 5Ah to 1200Ah

for all imaginable uses and applications from miner cap lamps to any

large standby power and motive power application. Compared with

other types of rechargeable batteries, NiCd batteries offer good cycle

life and performance at low temperatures with a fair capacity and a quite

long life expectancy. Shnawa Trading Co. offers a variety of alkaline battery

ranges that cover all needs through our partner Interberg Co.

Lead-Acid Batteries

Despite having a very low energy-to-weight ratio and a low energy-to-volume ratio, lead-acid batteries have an economically acceptable power-to-weight ratio. This feature, along with their low cost, makes the lead-acid batteries to be attractive for use in motor vehicles to provide the high current required by automobile starter motors. As they are inexpensive compared to newer technologies, lead-acid batteries are still widely used although other designs and technologies, also offered by Shnawa Trading Co., do provide higher energy densities. Large-format lead-acid designs are widely used for storage in a large variety of back-up power supplies To cover all possible uses and applications, Shnawa Trading Co. offers a wide spectrum of lead-acid battery ranges in diverse technologies: vented batteries, sealed batteries, tubular plate batteries, plantè type batteries, flat plate batteries, batteries with liquid, immobilized or gelified electrolyte as well as silicon batteries, through our partner Interberg Co.

Lithium Batteries

The lithium iron-phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, also called LFP battery, is a type of rechargeable battery, specifically a lithium-ion battery that uses LiFePO4 as a cathode material. LiFePO4 batteries offer longer lifetimes, better power density (the rate that energy can be drawn from them) and are inherently safer than other lithium battery technologies. Key features of Interberg’s LiFePO4 batteries are: Long cycle life. No memory effect. High C-Rate discharge/charge capability. High peak power available under high depth of discharge. High energy density, small size, light weight. Good performance at high & low temperatures. Environmental friendly and maintenance free. Shnawa Trading Co. offers two ranges of LiFePO4 batteries for differentiated applications: LFV and LFS ranges, through our partner Interberg Co.

Silicon Batteries

Interberg Silicon batteries are an ultimate evolution in the battery technology that improves the outcome of the best lead-acid batteries in terms of life expectancy (18-20 years on float operation), and environment protection: they don’t produce any harmful or dangerous gassing or pollutant emissions. Further key features of the silicon battery are : its capability to with stand deep to very deep discharges, to offer a much longer cycle life expectancy and their rapid recharge capability. They can be discharged at very high rates with no damage to the battery. Silicon batteries have a higher capacity ratio, higher current output, lower internal resistance and higher performance. They will perfectly operate in harsh temperatures (-40oC to +65oC), delivering undisrupted power when required. Silicone batteries do not have any erosion to corrode battery electrodes, joints or connections.
